Flowers bloomin' right now!

In the last few days, it feels that the field has reached a tipping point and is now bursting at the seams...here are some of the flowers doing their thing right now:

The dahlias have started and are gathering momentum, the first of the scabious has also opened its first flowers with many more buds wafting in the breeze. The zinnias are also beginning - though they are a smidge short at the moment.

Harvesting for drying

The dried flower season will soon be upon us and my office is starting to fill with bunches that are drying. So far it is mainly lavender and grasses but with the strawflowers ramping up, that line of string is filling up nicely too.

Soon I'll be heading to my friendly farmer's fields to collect oats and wheat before the combines start rolling
