Dear Santa...a flower farmer's Christmas wish list

It's that time of year when we face the question of "what would you like for Christmas".
If you're looking for the perfect gift for a flower farmer or gardener, you might find some inspiration from my wish list this year:
Charles Dowding plug trays
This 60-cell module tray is made of strong and durable recycled polypropylene and is designed to be used and used again.
It has wide holes at the bottom which enable plants to be pushed up easily and improves drainage. The tapered cells require less compost (one of my biggest costs!) and result in no waterlogging around the roots. The polypropylene creates smooth and solid cells that help plant root balls slide upwards with little to no damage to the plant roots, or the tray.

Heirloom Trowel (long handled!)

Originally called an 'Uncle Peter's trowel', this durable design cuts through soil like butter and makes weeding, planting out and everything else I use a trowel for 10x easier.
Designed by an aerospace engineer, there's nothing about this design that can break and...it's beautiful and shiny.
It is still made in the Cotswold too.
I've currently got the short handled version but have found that after a couple of hours the end of the handle starts to make my hand sore...which is why the long handled version is on my wish list.

Burgon and Ball Seed Packet Store

Having well and truly out grown my seed box, this has caught my eye and my heart. It comes in a range of gorgeous colours and the best bit (in my opinion!) are the monthly dividers!

Great gifts from the past
Over the years I've accumulated a fair few tools and there are a few that I'd now struggle to live without. So you're looking for a gift for a fellow flower farmer or gardener, these might provide some inspiration:
Leather tool belt

So useful when my shorts or jeans don't have the pockets needed to carried snips, phone, dog treats etc! I love the leather design and can see this belt still going strong when I'm pottering about as an 80 year old! It being leather also meant I could add extra holes! Spearman and Jackson Snippers

These Spearman and Jackson snips are currently my favourite. Strong, small and sharp, they are perfect for cutting flowers. (https://www.spear-and-jackson.com/products/garden-tools/colours-collection/snips/colours-collection-garden-snips-in-green)
